Chinese New Year

Yesterday was Chinese New Year. Nathan's preschool class celebrated with a lot of activities. I made Chinese New Year cake so that his classmates could try it. They made Chinese lanterns as a craft. Several of them dressed up in Chinese clothes. Nathan brought some red envelopes for show and tell.

But, the highlight of the morning was parading through the school as a dragon. One of the Dads had sewn a large dragon, and some of the kids were chosen to walk beneath it. Nathan was picked to be in front. Here are a few pictures courtesy of Nathan's teachers.

Here's Nathan during show-and-tell. He is explaining that he received money inside of the red envelope from his Nai-Nai and Yie-Yie for Chinese New Year.

Nathan's class has quite a few Chinese students!
